The REASON for the SEASON

The lights, the food, the presents...this is what many people think of when they think about Christmas. It is easy to get caught up in the glitz and glamour of the holiday season, but we must remember:

• JESUS was the one who came and restored the relationship between humanity and GOD that was damaged when Adam and Eve bit the apple in the Garden of Eden.
• He shared our human nature to model a human being fully obeying GOD's will.
• He wants us to love GOD and value heavenly things, not materialistic items.
• The greatest gift is GOD's LOVE!
• We are called to share his presence known through works of mercy, charity, and service.
